God didn’t answer my prayers – What’s up with that?!?!

unanswered-prayers-crop[1]I was born on Spring Equinox.  I am most certainly a spring baby.  To put it mildly, winter is just not my time of year.  I slow down, withdraw, and kind of hibernate.  Every year about this time (mid-February), the Aries in me wants some action and I always want to get the ball in life rolling before it wants to be moved.  It’s not uncommon  for me to feel out of sorts or disconnected from the Divine this time of year.  It’s like God isn’t listening.  Is He/She/It deaf or what?

On rare occasions, prayers don’t get answered.  There are usually a few reasons.  First, you can’t override the free will of another person.  You can connect to the Divine, visualize and pray with all your might, but if Johnny wants to be a bank robber, then that’s his call.  It’s his road to the Divine.  You need to let it go.  Second, there may be some sort of timing component.  It’s just not the right time.  Possibly, you or someone else involved in your prayer needs more life experience before your prayer can be fulfilled.  Third, sometimes we’re just not allowed to know.  It’s beyond our limited view and wisdom.  In which case, it takes faith.  And lastly, our request isn’t in alignment with Divine energy.  It may be based on fear, greed or anger.  When requests out of alignment with Divine will aren’t fulfilled, they usually bring up some type of subconscious emotional charge (i.e. more suffering).

Have you ever felt that God doesn’t answer your prayers?
