Question: Meditation is becoming quite popular in the West these days, almost to the point of being main stream. What’s the big deal? What’s to gain by going into the zone?
Answer: First off, meditation takes you into a deep state of of relaxation. It’s the original stress reduction remedy.
Second, it opens the doors to another world—namely, the subconscious mind. When the doors to the subconscious are open, it can facilitate enormous opportunity to heal and release suppressed emotion from the past. Most of us are governed by those emotions without even realizing it. When suppressed emotions are gone, so are the repeating patterns of pain and suffering that accompany them.
Third, meditation opens the conduit to the higher part of yourself—the Divine, God, the Universe, the Life Force, Chi or whatever else you want to call it. When that connection is established and recognized, your life will never be the same again. Your pathways to creativity, enhanced relationships, and effortless Flow will be forever unlocked. Then the adventure, to an eternity of personal growth, is forever at your doorstep.
