A  Mind Blowing Spiritual Awakening

Tony Robbins meets Oneness University, Part 3 of 5

Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5

Taken from modified excerpts of my book:

The Subconscious, the Divine and Me

The_Point_(Fiji)

In 2008-09, I had two mind blowing spiritual awakening weeks through Oneness University , that changed my life  forever.

So far our champion of the last two blogs has been pummeled by two massive Divine downloads through the image of Tony Robbins during a retreat put on by Oneness University in Fiji.  He had no idea what was going on.  Let’s see how the Divine pulls the rug out from under him this time.

The afternoons of the retreat were scheduled with classes.  One of the teachers was a thirty-something gentleman from India by the name of Ananda Giri.  He was kind of  a modern-day guru.  Because he was busy and lived far away, his lessons were given via video.  He spoke in a rather hypnotic cadence and his eyes glazed over when he paused.  He seemed as if he was plugged into an energy most of us could only dream about.  Carrying the qualities of peace and innocence, he was loved by everyone.  It was impossible not to.

On the last full day of the retreat, I wandered down to the beach for a stroll and some alone time.  As I stepped from the path onto the beach, I distinctly heard someone call my name.  I turned around and didn’t see anyone.  So I kept walking.  After a few more steps, I heard my name again, this time loud and clear.  Nobody was there!  Remembering I was on a retreat, I figured, “Okay, it’s in my imagination.”  As I closed my eyes, I could see him there plain as day.  It was Ananda Giri.  By this time, I was starting to feel like I was losing my grip on reality.

Walking down the beach, we carried on a conversation that lasted about thirty minutes.  He was very explicit and told me what I could expect over the next six months.  It felt like being with an old and dear friend.  As we came to the end of the beach, he stood aside with an impish grin, as if he knew something.  In a few seconds, guess who came walking down the beach?  You guessed it, Tony Robbins.  Keep in mind, this encounter on the beach was happening in my imagination.  However, the events were so lucid it was hard to distinguish between the imaginary and the physical world.

Seeing Tony walk toward me, in a no non-sense militaristic fashion, set off a tingle of fear down my spine.  He was here on business and his business was with me.  Off to the side, the guru was watching, trying not to laugh.  Tony approached face-on and stopped about an arm’s length away and roared, “You just don’t get it, do you?”  As he said that, he smacked me on the chest with his open palm.  I could feel the blow physically and was knocked back a step.  This was getting bizarre.

Replying to his question, I imagined myself answering, “Uh…get what?”  He responded, “Don’t resist.”  I said, “Resist what?”  With that answer, he wound up to hit me again.  Instead of feeling his open palm slam into my chest, it passed right through into my torso.  It felt extremely peculiar and downright mind-boggling.  I could feel him reaching inside my body.  He seemed to enjoy it.  He kept pressing his hand form the surface to the inside of my body like he was testing something.  With a growing smile, he said, “That’s it, you’re getting it.”  On the next attempt to press into my chest, his entire arm entered my heart.   At the same time, he did a kind of pirouette and completely entered my upper body, dissolving into my core.  I looked over toward Ananda Giri for some kind of explanation.  He was gone.  I was stupefied.

Download number three…

At this point I figured I was completely losing my mind.  To find out if I do, check in on my next blog.

How to Discover the ‘Magic’ of Energy Healing

Spirituality, Meditation and Energy Healing

I’ve been working in the world of energy healing for decades.  Over the years, I get inquires like the one I received recently.

Energy Healing

It went something like this:

“I have been getting energy healings from lots of people in the past but what struck me was that there was one thing that was unique on your site as compared to others, i.e. ‘permanent results’.  I hope it is true, and if so, please confirm so that I can start sessions with you.  I’m much in need of a miracle.”

Awakening

I responded:

“Thanks for you inquiry.  I have 25 years experience as an energy healer and spent six of those years working in a cancer radiation clinic.  Clients I have worked with who have experienced ‘permanent results’ are people who are deeply committed to their own healing process and education in self-awareness.  In short, they are open to doing what ever it takes to improve the quality of their lives.  This is a critical and necessary component to healing.

“Why?  Because I do not do the healing.  I only facilitate a process to help people access the deeper parts of themselves to do their own healing.  Although miracles can and do happen, there are generally no quick fixes or magical cures.  Healing tends to be gradational, through the effort of reaching deep inside yourself.  I can assist you in that process.

“So if you want to work with me, think it over.  I am focused on results but only if you’re willing to put in the work.  Thanks so much for contacting me.”

tranquility

Like so many of us, my friend above sees energy healing as something shrouded in a magical cloak of mystery.  I think that happens because we don’t fully understand it yet.  But we’re getting there.  As forge ahead and come to a deeper understanding of our energetic natures, we’ll begin to understand the ‘miraculous’ in a different light.  We’ll see miracles as a natural part of being human (homework and all).

Autopilot Behaviors and Stress

Why do I do the same stupid things over and over again?

Many common autopilot behaviors that produce stress in our bodies and minds are the result of of unexperienced emotion (pain, fear, stress, etc.) that gets suppressed into the subconscious mind.  This happens without awareness or intention on our part.  Most all of this emotion is based somewhere in our past, commonly in childhood.

When emotion is suppressed into the subconscious, the subconscious mind will try to help us release the emotion by creating situations for us to experience it.  Because when we experience any emotion fully, it will essential dissipate into the ether.  If the stressful emotion is avoided (something we all do naturally) it will be suppressed back into the subconscious mind. Then we’ll start to see repeating, stressful, autopilot behaviors over and over again.

Some universal emotions that cause these stressful patterns include: abandonment,  fear, unworthiness, grief, and resistance.

Once we become aware of subconsciously suppressed emotion and the painful repeating patterns they cause, we can take active steps to heal the subconscious. There are numerous techniques to accomplish this, but each healing technique is essentially a tool to accesses the subconscious mind.  Some of these modalities include Guided Meditation, Hypnotherapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and Energy Healing.

Can War Be Genetically Inherited?

Spirituality, Meditation and Energy Healing

As within, so without.  Or so the saying goes.

The idea behind this well-known spiritual saying suggests that whatever lives in our subconscious mind will be projected outward.  In other words, our internal thoughts and emotions create the circumstances in our 3D, day-to-day, physical world.

Nothing is more true than suppressed anger, hatred and rage.   When we experience trauma, especially when we’re young, we unknowingly stuff it into the subconscious mind.  There it lies dormant, like a sleeping dragon, waiting to be thrust outward at the right moment.  Combine that potential with other like-minded souls, and before you know it, the match has been set to the gasoline of the next violent and turbulent outburst.

So, the theory to prevent war would be: First, heal the conflict and hatred that lies within.

Sounds simple.  No more inner conflict, no more war.

But what if hatred runs even deeper than mere suppressed trauma from childhood?  Can hatred, and its propensity toward war, actually be genetically inherited from our ancestors?

This brings me to an old acquaintance of mine, named Aaron.  We were biology lab partners in college.  We hit it off from the time we first shook hands.  He was handsome, intelligent, sophisticated, gracious and fun.  He was also Jewish.

One afternoon, we had a break from our biology lab and went out to grab a bite to eat.  Somehow or another, we got on the topic of the latest militant outbreak occurring in the Middle East.  As we spoke, Aaron’s neck swelled up, his veins protruded, his face went beet-red, and his reddening eyes dilated.  In no time flat,  he became almost uncontrollably agitated.

I was mildly horrified to see my lab buddy morph into a completely different person, right before my eyes.  The rage he was experiencing didn’t fit the context of our conversation.  It was way off the chart.  What was even more bizarre was I was fairly certain Aaron was raised as a normal American kid.  He didn’t even know anyone of Arab origin.

Being somewhat perceptive for my young age, I figured hatred of that magnitude could only come from one of two places.  A)  He learned it while growing up; or B) he was born with it, as if it were hardwired into his psyche.

I knew Aaron’s family.  They were kind, civically-minded people.  I couldn’t fathom Aaron being raised in a den of hatred.  It would have shown somewhere on the outside.  My only reasonable conclusion was to consider option B.  He inherited it from his ancestry.

My interactions with Aaron gave me a whole new appreciation of a hatred that seemed absolutely biblical.  My naive and isolated American upbringing couldn’t come to grips with that unstoppable force, which seemed to have originated thousands of years before our time.  I simply couldn’t comprehend it.

Later, Aaron’s hatred made me wonder if preventing war, by healing our inner emotional states, was even a remote possibility.  Quite honestly, to me, it seemed more like wishful thinking than a realistic option.  I couldn’t imagine how anyone could stop a group of focused and like-minded Aarons.

Over the years, I’ve thought a lot about Aaron and the history of our world, that’s always been in a state of war.  In these times of great change, will we ever be able to overcome war and violent conflict?  Quite honestly, I don’t think there’s enough human awareness, intention, or will to pull it off.  Cessation of war will have to come from a much higher and intelligent source of power.  It’s going to take a heaping portion of Divine intervention.

So what’s my recommendation to create peace in a world ever troubled with war?

Keep meditating and connecting to your version of Divine presence.  It’s going to take a miracle.  But thank God, that’s what God is in the business of.
