What is a Spiritual Awakening?

Meditation Goes to a Whole New Level

In my previous courses, I’ve introduced meditation as a tool for relaxation and healing, which it is.  However, now I’d like to introduce meditation as a means to spiritual awakening.

This is where meditation can create experiences that are incredible, wild, unpredictable, surreal, outlandish, magical, miraculous, and flat-out fun!  This is where meditation comes alive.  And for me, that’s what it’s all about.

What is a Spiritual Awakening?

Historically, a spiritual awakening refers to a shift in consciousness, or an awakening to an awareness of reality, which has been previously unrealized. Often, the results lead to the recognition of oneness with all that is.

The essence of that oneness, which binds us all together, is a form of universal energy. That energy can be experienced and integrated into our being.

Spiritual Awakening Is an Event

What does that actually mean? It means your life has just changed … big time.

What you’ve experienced will allow you to see the world as you’ve never seen it before. Your perception of what life is and how the world functions will expand into vast new realms and possibilities, that stretch far beyond the physical world. Life can get very dynamic and exciting.

You may have visions or exceptional sensory experiences. A spiritual awakening may also go on for a period of time. But whatever the circumstance, you are getting re-wired to connect with a highly intelligent energy presence that is much larger than you are. You will not be the same person afterward. You’ll be even better.

Spiritual Awakening Is Personal

There are as many different ways to experience a spiritual awakening as there are people experiencing them. Each one is tailored by a higher intelligence to optimize whatever experience is needed. Plus, it can happen more than once in a lifetime. One thing is for sure, it won’t be boring.

Disclaimer – Neither of Us can Make a Spiritual Awakening Happen

Spiritual awakenings are born of a higher intelligence. Call it God, the Divine, the Universe, Collective Consciousness, or whatever you want  It is this presence that makes it all happen. All we can do is set the vibrational stage. However, here are a few tricks that have withstood the test of time.

Desire

If you want a spiritual awakening to happen and take some action, it will. The energy in charge will answer your prayers, in it’s own time and in its own way.

Remember, it’ all about personal growth, so be willing to make some effort. You may have some healing or maturing to do. Also, keep in the back of your mind, it won’t happen the way you think it will.

Meditation

Meditation creates a bio-chemical change in the brain that’s very healthy. It  also paves the way for a spiritual awakening, by aligning your personal energy with the energy that makes it happen. Meditation works as a divine invitation to that source, set by the tone of dissolving your own inner resistance.

The Living of Virtues

Virtues are human behavior qualities that boost the experience of life.  They are portals that raise personal vibration

Like meditation, when virtues are put into action, they set the energetic stage for a spiritual awakening.  Virtues we’ll be focusing on in this course will include compassion, self-acceptance / self-forgiveness, forgiveness and gratitude.

What are Some Results from a Spiritual Awakening?

As I mentioned before, a spiritual awakening will be an event you will not likely forget. Below are a few things that may happen after the spiritual in has occurred.

  • You feel like something has happened inside of you
  • Your life goes through a significant change
  • Synchronisities and coincidences happen regularly
  • You long for connection and meaning
  • You want to know who you are
  • you start to experience more subtle energies
  • Your sensitivity increases
  • Creativity increases
  • New people with similar Interests start to show up
  • Frequent experiences of deep peace and calm
  • Unexpected feelings of happiness, joy and bliss
  • Feeling connected to nature and All of life
  • Relationships improve
  • You Lose interest in fear, judgement and conflict
  • Inhibitions are released
  • Intuition and psychic abilities sharpen
  • Awareness increases, sensing of energy is activated
  • Life has more meaning and purpose
  • A desire to contribute emerges, you want to give
  • Well-being increases (physical, financial, emotional and spiritual)
  • Healing can intensely accelerate
  • Life gets more interesting, exciting and fun
  • Prayers get answered
  • Problems start to improve by themselves
  • Living is more effortless, things flow
  • Abundance radiates, Your needs are taken care
  • Miracles happen

Meditation and Money – How Does that Work?

The Power of Money

Energy flows where attention goes.  That applies to every area of life, especially money.  For most of us, making money requires a certain amount of focus and energy expenditure.  Part of being human means to be enterprising.

However, many of us have issues with money.  That’s because money strikes a chord to the very center of our being.  We all need it, most of us want it, and we’re all profoundly effected by the thought of it.  From the wealthiest of kings to the poorest of beggars, no one is untouched by the power of money.  Money has impacted the decisions and behavior of people since people have existed.  It’s influence is universal and timeless.

Money and Emotions

The reason money has such as powerful effect on us all is that it stirs deep emotions, central to our being.  Because money is attached to our core need for survival, the thought of its lack trigger very powerful fear.  Insecurities can rise so strong it can bring out our dark side.

The other emotion commonly associated with money is greed.  Once someone gets a taste of it, it can trigger an insatiable desire for more.   That’s because money can entice  the desire for power and shape the entire identity of some people.

Money is an Tool

Why is it then, money can bring out they tyrant in some and the humanitarian in others?  That’s because money is a neutral form of energy.  It’s  not good or bad.  It just is.  It represents the exchange of life force between people.  Money only makes people more of what they already are.

Foundational Experiences and Beliefs

The natural state of the Universe is abundance.  Just look around.  Earth is overflowing with life.  The night sky is  filled with countless stars and galaxies.  Abundance is everywhere.  Thew why do so many of us struggle with money?

One reason is related to our foundational experiences with money.  These can be very similar to suppressed emotion we discussed earlier in this course.  Our first defining experiences with money can shape our perceptions and relationship with money for the rest of our lives.  These foundational experiences can happen any time in life.

Underlying believes with money also impact our relationship with money.  Many of us may not even be aware of our beliefs about money.  However, with a little awareness, you can recognize them expressed as a statement of truth.  (i.e. hard work always pays off, money is the root to all evil, I am a money magnet).  To enhance your relationship with money, it’s a good idea to discover your beliefs and change them where necessary.

Personal Vibration with Money

We are not all destined to be the richest people in the world.  However, we all resonate at a particular comfort level with money.  How we think and feel about money will be reflected back to use in our lives.  In order to optimize your relationship with money it’s best to release limiting foundational experiences & believes.  This is were meditation can have a healing effect on our financial situation.

FAQ

Can I just meditate and get rich?

For most people it’s not that simple.  Releasing limiting foundational experiences and altering restrictive beliefs can begin the process of opening the gates of financial flow into your life.  However, life will most likely require you to participate.

My family has always been poor.  Is there anyway out?

Very possible.  Again, releasing limiting foundational experiences and changing restrictive beliefs can open financial flow.  Also, in this day and age, the internet has opened opportunities beyond limiting cultural restriction, availing itself to the synchronicity that meditation can provide.

Can Meditation Help Fear and Anxiety?

Is it Okay to Be Afraid?

Absolutely.  Fear is natural.  It’s ingrained into our DNA.  It’s a survival instinct.  When you’re threatened and your life is in danger, you have two choices to ensure your survival.  Depending on your internal make up you will fight in anger or take flight in fear.

The only problem is, what most of our fear is not a response from a threat to our survival.  It comes from somewhere else—somewhere inside.

Where Does Most Fear Come From?

Most of our fear is based on some negative experience we’ve had in the past.  It can be as simple as being yelled at by a parent or the full-blown trauma from the horrors of war.  Depending on your sensitivity, being yelled at by a parent can leave scars not far removed from someone else who has been in actual combat.

However, when fear follows a person around long after the event is over, the mechanics of what’s going on are similar for everyone.  The event is over but the fear remains.  How can that be?

How Does Fear Work?

Fear, like all of our emotions, is born to be experienced.  When it is, it dissolves and goes away.  However, nobody wants to experience fear or horror,  so it unintentionally gets suppressed into the subconscious mind.

However, once fear gets stuffed into the subconscious, it lies there like a living creature, waiting to be released.  Fear will then try and find its way out to be experienced, so it can complete its life cycle.  So what you will see is fearful experiences coming up over and over again.  The patterns of fear will repeat in an endless cycle.

Is Fear Even Real?

It’s important to understand that fear and trauma are based in the past, and technically are not real.  Fear is just a smokescreen, created by past events that  no longer exist.  And often those fears from the past get projected into the future, creating a future reality based in fear.

Most fear is generated from mental pictures and emotions attached to past circumstances.  However, the power of those pictures and feelings can be so strong and ingrained that it may have a powerful influence on our decision making and behavior.  And lets face it, breaking the cycle takes an enormous amount of courage because nobody want to face their fear.

Therein lies the paradox because to overcome your fear, you must be willing to face it completely.  And it’s not as hard as it sounds.

How can Meditation Help?

Meditation is absolutely brilliant in helping quell the demons of fear.  First off, meditation will slow an overactive mind to create an emotional state of peace.  Fear has a difficult time standing up in the face of peace.

Furthermore, there are a myriad of meditation techniques to effortlessly address fear from the past and let it go.  The result can be create a permanent sense of deep relief.

If you feel the time is ready to release fear from the past, I strongly encourage you to find assistance in the process, from someone like an energy healer or mediation therapist.  Having loving assistance can amplify the likelihood of success exponentially.  Some of the most difficult time in our lives are when we forget or neglect of ask for help.

Remember, when meditation helps you release fear, the result is feelings of security and peace.  When security and peace are fortified in your internal world, it will be reflected into your out world, as a life filled with the same.

How to Start Meditating – A Few Tips for Beginners

I’ve been teaching meditation, healing, and spirituality techniques for well over two decades. What I’ve learned from personal experience and the thousands of people I’ve worked with, is that in the beginning, meditation can be kind of difficult.

Your mind wanders, you get bored, you’re not sure if you’re doing it right, etc., etc. Well, if that’s the case, then why do so many people meditate? There must be something to it.

I guarantee you, there is. Mindfulness, yoga, spirituality, energy healing, and other meditative practices are popular now for a reason!  When you begin to meditate, you’re knocking on the door on a whole new universe, just waiting to open.

Why Do You Meditate?

Meditation is becoming quite the rage these days.  I wonder why?  Is it to deeply relax, reduce stress, and find a mindfulness calm?  Or is it to heal unsettling emotions?  Maybe to quiet an overactive mind?  Or is that many people are meditating to tap into their enormous well of creativity?  Or could it be there’s a massive mystical movement of connecting to an energy that goes beyond us all?
